ABOUT THE EVENT
Our Mission
Hosted by Councilwoman Gloria D. Gray, Family Unity Day at Darby Park is a free, family-friendly community celebration bringing together residents of Inglewood for an afternoon of food, fun, and connection. Taking place on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 12pm to 6pm, the event features free food, live music, lawn games, and activities for all ages.
Attendees are encouraged to bring food, chairs and/or blankets to relax and enjoy the day. Local organizations will be on hand to share resources, and city officials will be present to engage with the community. Family Unity Day highlights the spirit of Inglewood, fostering unity, joy, and neighborhood pride.

Is the event free?
Yes! Inglewood Family Unity Day is completely free and open to the community.
Do I need to register?
Yes. Registration is required for all attendees who would like to receive a meal voucher, including children.
Do children need to be registered?
Yes. Every attendee, including children, must be registered individually in order to receive a meal voucher.
What time does the event start and end?
The event takes place from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, August 1, 2026.

Yes, umbrellas are permitted.
Will food be available?
Yes. Free meal vouchers will be available for registered attendees while supplies last. Additional food and beverages will also be available for purchase throughout the event.
Will there be activities for children and families?
Yes! The event will feature family-friendly activities, entertainment, games, community vendors, music, and more.

Is the event accessible?
Yes. The event is designed to be accessible for guests with disabilities.
Can I become a vendor or sponsor?

Will there be vendors selling merchandise or retail products?
No. In keeping with the spirit of Inglewood Family Unity Day, retail merchandise sales are not permitted within the event footprint.
The event is designed as a community celebration focused on family, connection, recreation, entertainment, and access to resources. Activities, entertainment, and community experiences are intended to be enjoyed free of charge by attendees.
Food and beverages may be available for purchase from approved food vendors, and community organizations may provide information, resources, giveaways, and interactive activities throughout the event.
